1. Scope & Platform Identity

This policy applies to the Mowatib platform (mowatib.com). Mowatib is an authentic productivity workspace empowering students and professionals to cultivate deep focus, organize tasks, maintain atomic habits, take rich notes, and manage their calendar.

2. Information We Collect & How It Is Used

• Account & Authentication Data: When signing in with Google OAuth, we receive only your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier strictly to establish your session and synchronize your workspace across devices.
• Personal Productivity Content: Tasks, custom lists, notes, daily habits and streaks, calendar events, and focus session records. All content belongs entirely to you and remains strictly confidential.
• Local-First Philosophy: Mowatib operates completely offline. All data is primarily saved locally in your browser, and is only synchronized to cloud storage when you choose to sign in.

3. Google Calendar API Integration & Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Mowatib provides an optional feature allowing users to synchronize their scheduled tasks, focus sessions, and deadlines with Google Calendar. When you choose to enable this integration, Mowatib requests the following specific scope:

• Authorized Scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events
• Purpose & Usage: To read, create, modify, and delete calendar events associated with tasks and focus sessions scheduled by the user in Mowatib. This provides seamless, real-time schedule alignment directly on your Google Calendar.
• Data Accessed & Stored: We only access event titles (summaries), descriptions, start and end date/times, and calendar event identifiers (IDs) required to synchronize items with your Mowatib workspace. We do NOT access your emails, contacts, Google Drive files, or any other calendars.
• No Sale or Transfer of Data: We never sell, rent, or transfer your Google user data to data brokers, advertisers, or any unauthorized third parties.
• No Advertising: Google user data is never used to serve targeted or contextual advertisements.
• No AI Model Training: Google user data is never utilized to train, tune, or improve machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI/ML) models.
• Revocation & Data Deletion: You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time directly from the Mowatib Settings view, or revoke permissions globally via Google Account Third-party apps. Deleting an event in Mowatib deletes it from Google Calendar, and deleting your Mowatib account permanently wipes all calendar links and tokens.

4. Data Security & Encryption

• All communication is protected in transit with HTTPS and TLS 1.3 encryption.
• Cloud-stored databases enforce rest encryption via the AES-256 standard.
• Strict PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) policies guarantee that no user can access another user's workspace records.

5. Your Rights to Export and Delete Data

• Data Export: You can export your tasks, habits, and events at any time in open, standard formats (JSON and ICS) directly from the Settings view.
• Permanent Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data with one click in Settings or by contacting support, resulting in immediate, irrevocable deletion.
